Smokers, would you rather the next tax grab for a social program be paid for by a sin tax on abortion?
Q. I'm not a smoker, but I sympathize with you all. The lawmakers don't want you smoking in bars, in parks, in your car, and now in your apartment. Some lawmakers wanted to tax you to pay for rich kids to get free medical care. What do you all think of taxing abortion instead of cigarettes? king jade...I said "law makers", carefully omitting any party. I like jack spicer's consistency. jose r...I hate to be the one who breaks this to you...wars and weapons are funded by taxes. You are a super democrat, you use taxes to fund an activity and then tax the activity! A. I think it's foolish of lawmakers to ban smoking everywhere, then expect a smoking tax to be a cash cow for their wasteful programs. I think the government should figure out how to handle the money we're already forced to give them and not ask for any more, regardless of where it comes from.
